With a fantastic state of the art new building after our multi million pound refurbishment we thought it only fitting that we had a new look to match. Working with designers Instruct Studio we’ve crafted a new brand for The Met that reflects our diverse programme and our ambitions for our future. Rebranding The Met is more than just changing the logo so Instruct spoke to staff and visitors to understand what The Met means to them and how that could be translated visually.
We know that your experiences are the fabric that binds The Met together, from a warm welcome to the diverse range of events you can see and participate in. You can visit us for everything from punk to poetry, learning to love stories and dining to dance and our new identity amplifies this. Our new bold patterns and shapes are based on spinning and weaving harking back to Lancashire’s industrial past but with a new contemporary twist. These layers and folds will be developed more over time and applied to not only our logo, website and brochure but to signage inside our new refurbished building.
The new brand is bold, it is born out of the honesty and creativity which runs through The Met and we can’t wait to share more with you.
