The multiple award-winning Prestwich Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (PADOS) Youth Group will perform cult musical hit ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ at The Met, Wednesday 9 – Saturday 12 March.
?A sci-fi spoof rock musical, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ features fantastic songs and incredible puppets to tell the story of meek flower shop assistant, Seymour who pines for his shop co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, however it only feeds on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store but in order for it to continue Seymour must find ways to feed the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.
‘This is the 6th time I have been involved with ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ however, this is the first time I have done the show with a youth group and it’s the most exciting version I’ve been involved with!’ Steven Sandiford, Musical Director
‘Little Shop of Horrors’ follows the success of ‘Ghost’, last year’s production from PADOS. Ghost scooped 3 awards at this year’s NODA Awards walking away with Best Staging, Best Leading Female and Best Supporting Actor.
Tickets for ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ are £12 and £10 concessions and are on sale from www.themet.biz, by calling 0161 761 2216 or from The Met’s box office on Market Street.
