Bury Council LGBT employees group present Union at The Met

On Friday 27 February at 8pm The Bury Council LGBT employee group present Union, a play by ambitious Manchester theatre makers Cobbled Haze Club.

It’s 4am and The Union’s resident drag act Gloria Strokum goes out after her shift. She’s off her trolley and sat by the canal talking to an hallucinated Cilla Black when she sees a dead body floating. What follows are the stories of four – who work and drink at The Union pub – culminating in an answer to who it is in the canal and asking questions about community today.

“A play that could definitely stand the test of time… Union is really, it’s gritty, it’s unapologetic… definitely a play to catch should you find yourself suddenly North” SoSoGay

Cobbled Haze Club’s award-winning work has been seen in London, Edinburgh and Manchester to wide critical acclaim. This is a new play suitable for ages 16+.

“Good black comedy with a smattering of great one-liners” The Public Reviews

“Brought tears to my eyes… a brave, fresh new script” The Good Review

Tickets to see Union at The Met are £10. For more information or to book tickets phone the box office on 0161 761 2216 or online at www.themet.biz
