Local band ‘Thugs on Wolves’ perform their Edwin Street album at The Met

Manchester based four piece Thugs on Wolves present their brand new album, recorded at Edwin Street Recording Studio, at The Met on Friday 6 February at 8pm.

Craig Adams, Oliver Bishop, Marcus Headley and Ashley McGuire use a blend of instrumentation, tribal beats, electronic surges and folksy harmonies to create heartfelt and beautifully constructed songs. Matched by equally beautiful vocals their songs spin stories that are, at times dark and haunting, and at others light and soul-warming.

Alongside this performance there will be an art exhibition comprised of work from local artists, championing the notion that Bury is a place that both facilitates and cultivates artistic partnerships. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between Thugs on Wolves, photographer Kate Matthews, and artist Lee Crocker of Bury Collective and will be the official launch of the Thugs on Wolves album artwork. Lee has worked closely with Bury Art Museum Choices and Brighter Futures art group to create the artwork displayed.

Tickets for the event are £6. For more information or to book tickets phone Box Office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
