The Met in Bury and Rossendale’s Horse + Bamboo Theatre Company present a visually stunning adaptation of Hansel and Gretel, running from Tuesday 16 – Wednesday 24 December.
Hansel and Gretel are lost in the woods and they’re so hungry that they could eat a house – so imagine their luck when they come across a house made out of gingerbread and cake. Sometimes, if you want something badly enough it might just happen, but getting what you want isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Inside the very sweet house is a very sour witch. Hansel and Gretel are going to need their wits about them to escape her.
Based on The Brother’s Grimm’s classic fairytale, Horse + Bamboo Theatre Company’s adaptation of Hansel and Gretel uses music, film, puppets and masks to create a feast for the senses, beautifully presented with lots of fun involved. The show follows on from Horse + Bamboo’s successful Red Riding Hood tour and continues their ambition of taking a traditional tale and giving it their own twist.
Tickets to see Hansel and Gretel at The Met are £8 – £12. For more information or to book phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz
