Bury Beer Festival returns to The Met and Malt in Bury town centre on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November with over 100 different ales, ciders and perries on offer throughout the weekend.
Outstanding Beers, Silver Street Brewing Company, Ramsbottom Craft Brewery, Irwell Works Brewery, Deeply Vale Brewery, Pennine Brewing Company and Red Bank Cider will each host a bar in The Met’s Main Theatre alongside a hand-picked selection of ales from across the country hosted by the team from Automatic. The Met’s army of volunteers will also tend a special sponsored bar helping to raise funds for the A Better Met campaign to rejuvenate the historic venue.
Run by The Met and Automatic, Bury Beer Festival is now in it’s sixth year after taking over from the CAMRA festival in Bury in 2009. Each November the Beer Festival welcomes over 1,500 visitors who are encouraged to vote for their favourite Beer of the Festival. Past winners have included the debuts from Irwell Works Brewery and Deeply Vale Brewery as well as special seasonal tipple from Outstanding Beers.
Automatic will be serving up delicious food for beer to line customers’ stomaches and Bury Black Puddings will be available over the sponsored bar. Beer lovers can also enjoy a programme of live music arranged by The Met on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
Bury Beer Festival runs from 12noon – midnight on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November. Entrance to the festival is £2 on Friday afternoon (before 5pm) and £4 on Friday evening (after 5pm) and all day Saturday. CAMRA members and members of The Met are entitled to half-priced entry with a valid membership card.
The Met also offers a VIP Beer Festival experience featuring queue-jump entry, £10 worth of beer vouchers, a limited edition festival glass, a festival programme and a food voucher. VIP packages are £20 and must be bought in advance from The Met or the Beer Festival website.
