Globally acclaimed Irish traditional band Altan come to The Met on Saturday 6 September at 8pm.
Altan play the traditional music of the Donegal fiddlers and singers, with a catalogue ranging from the most sensitive and touching old Irish songs to hard hitting reels and jigs. They were the first Irish band to be signed to a major label, gaining gold and platinum albums in Ireland and touring venues in Japan, Australia, New Zeland, Europe and America.

Over 25 years of playing together, Altan have established themselves as one of the most important live acts to play traditional Irish music. Career highlights include two performances at The White House, hosting a festival in Tokyo and featuring on the soundtrack of the 1997 Oscar-winning film Good Will Hunting.
