Thunderous blues with Moreland and Arbuckle

Following a smash hit performance at Ramsbottom Festival in September 2013, US delta blues duo Moreland and Arbuckle return to Bury on Thursday 19 June at 8pm.

Guitarist Aaron Moreland and harpist/vocalist Dustin Arbuckle have spent over a decade exploring the edges of American roots music. In the process they have forged a relentless and haunting sound that merges Delta blues, folk, rock, traditional country, soul and numerous other genres.

7 Cities, the latest album from Moreland and Arbuckle, was released last summer to great acclaim, featuring the sounds of vintage rock and twang, with a few barnburners, all of it rooted in the spirit of the Delta blues.

Moreland and Arbuckle have supported blues and rock veterans including ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Los Lonely Boys and worked with legends including Steve Cropper. They come to The Met in Bury supported by Blues Boy Dan Owen, winner of Young Artist of the Year at the 2013 British Blues Awards, now nominated for Best Male Vocal for 2014.

Tickets for Moreland and Arbuckle are £14 for the seating area, or £12 for the standing area. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
