Hilarious Musical Bonzos in Bury

Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band stars Three Bonzos and a Piano come to The Met presenting their trademark fun, music and subversive diversion on Friday 11 July at 8pm, with a special treat for fans – fourth Bonzo, ‘Legs’ Larry Smith joining them.

Celebrating 50 years of Bonzo insanity with gloriously silly spoofs on a variety of music, Three Bonzos and a Piano bring together Roger Ruskin Speak, Rodney Slater and Sam Spoons with super-pianist Dave Gleeson. Robots, smoke, unsuitable medical technology, ancient theatrical props and the kitchen sink all combine to recreate to atmosphere of the formative Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band years.

“An evening of merry madness that induced shouts of approval, laughter and cheers” – NME

The Bonzos have appeared with members of Monty Python, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Kinks and The Who as well as having a Top 5 hit with Urban Spaceman. They have featured as the house band on Do Not Adjust Your Set, and are named influences of Comedians Stephen Fry, Adrian Edmondson, Eddie Izzard, Phill Jupitus, Paul Merton, Chris Morris and Bill Bailey.

Tickets to see the Bonzos in Bury are £16, or £14 for concessions. For more information or to book phone Box Office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz
