Husband and wife duo My Darling Clementine return to The Met with their second album, The Reconciliation? on Friday 6 June at 8pm.
Michael Weston King and Lou Dangleish present voyeuristic story-telling country music, evoking the great duets of Porter Waggoner and Dolly Parton, George Jones and Tammy Wynette and Johnny and June. Their 2011 debut album, How Do You Plead, won awards on both sides of the Atlantic, filled with songs about betrayal, regret, anger, guilt and revenge. The Reconciliation? continues the story.
“It was theatre, it was country music, it was rock’n’roll” – Maverick Magazine.
Michael Weston King is a seasoned troubadour and former leader of UK alt. country pioneers The Good Sons. Lou Dangleish is one of the finest female singers in the UK, praised by the likes of Elvis Costello and Bryan Ferry. After ten years of marriage the two turned their attention towards a joint project.
Tickets to see My Darling Clementine at The Met are £12, or £10 for concessions. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
