RnB, soul and Jazz legend Zoot Money comes to The Met in Bury on Thursday 1 May at 8pm.
Keyboard and vocalist Zoot Money was one of the most colourful exponents of early British RnB, playing with The Big Roll Band, The Animals, the Alan Price Band and The Electric Blues Company. His songwriting credits include tracks for Lulu and Long John Baldry and as a producer he has worked on the Tutti Frutti album from the television series of the same name (the show which launched the careers of Robbie Coltrane and Emma Thompson in 1985) and more recently, Ruby Turner’s Call Me By My Name album.
Outside of music, Zoot has also regularly been seen on television screens, appearing in Eastenders, Londons Burning, The Bill, The Professionals, The Piglet Files and Get Back.
Bringing his own blend of experience and fun to entertain and amuse, Zoot will be playing at The Met with new band, The Chess Masters. Tickets for the event are £12. For more information or to book phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz
