Boo Hewerdine showcases famous songwriting prowess

Singer, songwriter and frontman of ‘80s band The Bible, Boo Hewerdine comes to The Met with My Name in the Brackets, a tour showcasing his original versions of the songs he has written for other famous acts, on Thursday 8 May at 8pm.


For over two decades Boo Herwedine has been a much-loved performer but it is as a songwriter that his peers hold him is particular esteem. Over 400 of his songs have been recorded and released by the likes of Eddi Reader, kd Lang, Heidi Talbot, Kris Drever, The Corrs, Natalie Imbruglia, Jerry Douglas and more.

The My Name in the Brackets tour coincides with the release of Boo’s latest album of the same name, which features notable covers of his songs side by side with his own versions.


Boo will be supported at The Met by Icelandic singer-songwriter Hafdis Huld.
