Peatbog Faeries bring their high octane Celtic dance music to The Met on Saturday 29 March at 8pm.
Twice crowned Live Act of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, the Peatbog Faeries possess cast-iron party credentials second to none, regularly selling out venues and attracting new fans. Their music splices jigs and reels with jazz, hip-hop, reggae, rave, Latin and African sounds.
“Imagine The Orb meeting a ceilidh band in the mind of Irvine Welsh. This is it! Billy Nasty may have mixed pipes and dance on the decks but the Peatbog Faeries can play it live and it blew the audience away.” – Edinburgh Evening News
Featuring Peter Morrison (pipes and whistles), Ross Couper (fiddle), Tom Salter (guitar), Innes Hutton (bass, percussion) Graeme Stafford (keyboards) and Stuart Haikney (drums), Peatbog Faeries have toured across the globe, bringing the true flavour of Scottish traditional music to audiences. Their music has also been used for several TV, radio and DVD soundtracks, and the band has performed at the BBC Proms in the Park in Glasgow with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets for the performance are £16. For more information or to book please phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
