Festival favourite Marc O’Reilly returns to Bury with new album

Irish folk and blues troubadour Marc O’Reilly returns to Bury on Thursday 10 April with brand new album, Human Herdings.

Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut, My Friend Marx, in 2011, Marc O’Reilly has established himself as one of the most exciting artists in the folk/blues genre, with comparisons to John Martyn and Bon Iver. As a live performer he already has a spellbinding reputation, as a songwriter he stands out as a unique and moving talent and as a voice he is both urgent and persuasive in the same breath.

In the past few years Marc has toured across Europe including appearances at Ramsbottom Festival in 2012 and Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Boardmasters in 2013. Alongside his solo work, side project, R, (an electro-pop duo with his brother Pierre) has received excellent radio support for debut single, Change, from tastemakers including Steve Lamacq, Janice Long and Paul McLoone.

Human Herdings is due for release on Friday 28 March. Tickets to the performance at The Met are £10. For more information or to book go online at www.themet.biz or phone Ticket Office on 0161 761 2216.
