Edwin Street Recording Studio in Bury is running a five-week beginners course in Sound Recording on Wednesday evenings from 7pm, starting on 29 January.
The intensive introductory course will cover studio equipment, microphone technique and signal flow, live instrument recording, Pro Tools, overdubbing and hardware and software mixing techniques. Sessions will be taught by Edwin Street’s Studio Manager, Phil Bulleyment, who has worked with professional artists including; Dutch Uncles, Delphic, James and Goldfrapp.
Phil comments: “If you’ve ever wondered what all the buttons on a mixing desk really do, or are looking for ways to improve on your home studio recordings, then this is the place to start.”
Situated at the back of The Met in Bury town centre, Edwin Street Recording Studio is a professional recording facility featuring state of the art equipment and superb acoustics. The studios were opened in May 2011 by Elbow’s Craig Potter and folk stars Spiers and Boden.
