Folk Favourite Rachel Sermanni returns to Bury

Met and Ramsbottom Festival favourite Rachel Sermanni returns to Bury on Saturday 1 February at 7.30pm.

A straight-up storyteller with a voice to blow all others clean out of the water, Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni packs an almighty punch with her earthy folk melodies and dextrous fingerpicking. Her wit and natural affinity with the audience belie her young age and have led to support slots and tours with the likes of Elvis Costello, Ron Sexsmith, Fink, John Grant and Michael Kiwanuka.

“Powerful and graceful” – Independent

“Really really something special. She’s amazing. Listen to her voice. Quite astonishing” – Guy Garvey, Elbow

In 2012, Rachel self-released debut EP, Black Currents, followed closely by her critically acclaimed debut album, Under Mountains. Her new four-track EP, Everything Changes, is due for release on Monday 27 January.

Tickets to see the performance are £10. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
