Project XXX explores the issues with online porn

Dynamic theatre company Laid Bare Theatre explore youth and internet porn in brand new multimedia play, Project XXX, at The Met on Wednesday 5 February at 7.30pm.

.

Amy, a teenage feminist blogger, decides it is time to prove that sex on the web is not just for men and persuades new love interest Callum to film her first time. Meanwhile, Callum has his own issues to deal with, including an obsession with a faded porn star named Jaze.

Made up of writer/director Paul Hine and writer Kim Wiltshire (who have both produced work for Manchester’s Royal Exchange), Laid Bare Theatre aim to explore social and political issues through exciting and dynamic theatre.  Project XXX is their first show, a dark romantic comedy that explores the mainstreaming of internet porn, the changing face of technology and its impact on human relationships.

The show went through two years of development, with Kim and Paul working with young people across the North West to explore the real issues with internet pornography.

Project XXX is suitable for ages 15+ and tickets are £6, or £4.50 for students. For more information or to book tickets phone Box Office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
