Grono Lawns create magical indoor garden at The Met

Artificial grass specialists Grono Lawns have transformed The Met’s theatre foyer into an indoor lawn to coincide with Proper Job Theatre Company’s Christmas production of The Secret Garden.

Based in Trafford Park, Grono’s lifelike artificial grass is a popular garden alternative to turf, with its low maintenance and weather-proof year-round colouring and texture. It is now also being used for a growing number of professional purposes, from nursery play areas and sports facilities to the set of Coronation Street.

Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s children’s classic, The Secret Garden follows ten-year-old Mary on enchanting adventures in an old forgotten garden at her uncle’s house. The show is the fourth annual collaboration of The Met and Huddersfield’s Proper Job Theatre Company, running until Tuesday 24 December. The grass flooring within The Met creates a fresh and magical feel on entering the theatre and is intended to remain in place into the New Year.

Tickets for The Secret Garden start at £8. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
