Buzz Hawkins and Smug Roberts present warming Christmas comedy.

Smug Roberts and Buzz Hawkins present a special Christmas comedy show, Smug as a Buzz in a Rug, at The Met on Thursday 19 December at 7.30pm.


Andy Wilkinson, aka Smug Roberts, is a stand-up, a character actor, a writer and a force of nature. His TV credits include Cold Feet, Phoenix Nights, That Peter Kay Thing, Clocking Off, Mrs Browns Boys and the BBC sketch show The In Crowd. He also starred in the 2001 film 24 Hour Party People and rocked the airwaves with the ‘Meat Pie, Sausage Roll’ song. Roberts performs regularly around the country, engaging in his own particular brand of Smugness.


Buzz Hawkins is best known for creating the cult comedy radio show The Bradshaws, which began on Piccadilly Radio’s Night Beat in 1983. Buzz regularly takes his one-man shows on tour around the UK and is in great demand as an after-dinner speaker. His TV credits include; Opportunity Knocks, Fame Game, Telethon, That’s Entertainment and Phoenix Nights.
