Blues favourites Slack Alice return to The Met on Saturday 7 December at 8pm.
With a line-up of songs born of years of experience, talent and enthusiasm for music, Slack Alice continue to explore new musical boundaries.
Slack Alice were founded in 1973 by vocalist, and harmonica and guitar player, Cliff Stocker. They were soon spotted by Bob Harris and booked for their debut on the legendary ‘Old Grey Whistle Test’. The band’s original material was very well received at concerts and gained them a lot of interest from record companies until their split from 1977 to 1996.
Unlike many of the ‘70s bands who reformed in the ‘90s, Slack Alice continue not only to play songs such as ‘Monday Morning Blues’ and Janis Joplin’s ‘Piece Of My Heart’ which featured in their 70’s stage shows, but a whole batch of new songs.
Tickets for the event are £10 or £8 for concessions. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
