Punchy contemporary folk trio, Tyde, come to The Met

Young contemporary folk trio, Tyde, come to The Met on Saturday 16 November with new album The Hidden Spoon.


Featuring Seth Tinsley on guitar and vocals, Heather Gessey on fiddle and vocals and Andrew Waite on accordion, Tyde play modern, punchy, danceable tunes, carefully arranged songs and intricate, emotional slow sets.  A mixture of raw energy, prodigious musical ability and clever, fresh arrangements make their music something different.

Tyde first came to public attention when their remarkable musicianship captivated the audience at the 2009 final of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards. They released The Hidden Spoon earlier year to great acclaim, building excitedly on their 2010 debut with an increasing amount of stylistic influences.
