Enter The Secret Garden at The Met this Christmas

The Met in Bury and Huddersfield’s Proper Job Theatre Company present seasonal treat for the whole family, The Secret Garden, running from Wednesday 11 – Tuesday 24 December.

Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic children’s novel, The Secret Garden follows a spoilt ten-year-old girl, Mary, on enchanting adventures in her uncle’s secret garden. Mary befriends a local boy, Dikon, and meets her sickly cousin, Colin, who had been hidden from her. Between them the three children work astonishing magic in themselves and those around them.

Full of loveable characters including a mischievous robin, a down-to-earth maid and a good honest lad who can talk to animals, The Secret Garden is the fourth annual collaboration between The Met and Proper Job Theatre Company for the Christmas production, following previous successes with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Scrooge and Pinocchio.

The production features a chorus of talented local children alongside Proper Job’s professional actors.

Tickets for The Secret Garden start at £8. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
