One of British rock and roll’s most enduring and respected r’n’b combos, Nine Below Zero, return to The Met on Friday 8 November at 8pm.
Having emerged from the vibrant London pub and club scene of the late 1970s, Nine Below Zero have delivered an explosive mix of blues and rock for over thirty years, with energetic gigs where band an audience are whipped into a frenzy.
Over the years the band have supported the likes of The Who, Sting, Eric Clapton and Chuck Berry, been supported by Jools Holland and played with Bruce Willis.
On 1 December they release their first ‘best of’ album, with twenty tracks including a newly recorded Christmas single and two previously unreleased songs.
The band will be supported at The Met by young Oldham band 5ft Fez, who impressed Dennis Greaves of Nine Below Zero during a support slot for the 45s with Wilko Johnson.
Tickets for the performance are £16. For more information or to book tickets phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
