Sage musician Eric Taylor returns to The Met on Friday 11 October at 8pm.
A lyrical genius and master of the guitar, Texan singer songwriter Eric Taylor has developed a multitude of fans and devotees who are legends themselves, artists who have long considered Taylor to be a teacher and lantern bearer whose time is long overdue.
“If there’s anything better than Nanci Griffith or Lyle Lovett singing an Eric Taylor tune, It’s Taylor singing it himself…he’s one of those songwriters that has the ability to plop you down in the middle of a story or a situation and make you care that you’re there” – Acoustic Guitar Magazine
Having toured extensively in the United States and Europe, in early 2011 Eric brought together some of his oldest friends and favourite musicians for Live At The Red Shack. Featuring Nancy Griffith, Denice Franke, Susan Lindfors Taylor and James Gilmer. The resulting CD was named One Of The Top 10 Albums Of The Year (Texas Music magazine) and Best Of 2012 – Live Album (Third Coast Music magazine).
Tickets to see Eric Taylor perform at The Met are £10 in advance or £12 on the door. For more information or to book phone 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
