The Met are expanding their corporate membership scheme by welcoming one of Bury’s biggest businesses, the RRG Group on board as a sponsor of The Met and Ramsbottom Festival.
The Met, which organises and promotes Ramsbottom Festival alongside a full programme of events in Bury, believe that the experience of enjoying and participating in the arts contributes to personal and community wellbeing. Although facing increasing pressure on funding, The Met is seeking to continue its work creating high quality accessible events through partnerships with local businesses.
One of the biggest and most successful car dealer groups in the North West, RRG have been serving the motoring needs of Bury for over 30 years, with Toyota, Nissan and Kia sites situated around the town centre, as well as Peugeot after sales. Nissan, the most recent addition to RRG’s portfolio in Bury opened its doors in December 2012 and is already proving a hit for both sales and aftersales alike, while the Kia site is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment which will see the current used car area double in size.
David Agnew, Director of The Met and Ramsbottom Festival comments:
“We’re thrilled RRG has recognised the potential of Ramsbottom Festival and the work we do year round with The Met that contributes to developing Bury as a great place to live, work and visit. Their support ensures Ramsbottom Festival will continue to grow to inspire and excite audiences”
Nikki Jolley, Group Marketing Manager for RRG comments:
“We are delighted to be supporting The Met and The Ramsbottom Festival, and we recognise how crucial the work they do is for the town. As a Group, our businesses in Bury are a huge part of our heritage and we have been heavily investing in the area over the past 30 years. We are always happy to support such important local community events and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with The Met for many years.”
The Met and Ramsbottom Festival offer excellence in arts and cultural experiences to as wide an audience as possible with the goal of making a vibrant and inspiring culture synonymous with Bury, raising the profile of the area, celebrating its heritage, and helping to boost the local economy.
