‘First Lady of Folk’ Miriam Erasmus comes to Ramsbottom

‘70s Folk legend Miriam Erasmus comes to Ramsbottom Folk Club at The Grant Arms on Wednesday 10 July at 8pm.

Also known as Miriam Backhouse, Erasmus has been touring, teaching and creating clubs and venues for other artists to share their talents since the 1960s. Her debut album, ‘Gypsy Without a Road’ is now a collector’s item and she was given the name ‘First Lady of Folk’ in the ‘70s, becoming one of the foremost interpreters of British folk songs.

Promoted by The Met in Bury, Ramsbottom Folk Club presents an evening of sessions, special guests and sing-arounds one Wednesday a month at The Grant Arms.
