Sergeant turned stand-up comedian Alfie Moore comes to The Met on Thursday 27 June at 8pm with side-splitting show, I Predicted a Riot.
After over eighteen years at the Humberside Police, Moore has seen it all; he’s investigated everything from milk bottle thefts to murders. His thrilling insight into life at the front line of the police force will not only alter perspectives on the boys in blue but is guaranteed to have audiences in a fit of laughter.
A smash hit at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, in I Predicted a Riot Moore reveals everything from the mundane to the macabre, Alfie recounts the continually bizarre but always humorous experiences of a modern copper; be it the time he encountered a severed head – but by law was not allowed to pronounce it dead, or the nonsensical realities of working in a squad tied up and hen pecked by bureaucracy.
“My favourite (Edinburgh Festival show) was Alfie Moore’s brilliantly funny show about policing. It’s genuinely funny and it’s about something. Do catch it!” – David Mitchell
Tickets for the event are £12 or £10 for concessions. For further information or to book tickets go online at www.themet.biz or phone 0161 761 2216.
