Canadian acoustic roots trio My Sweet Patootie bring their vintage sound to The Met on Friday 14 June at 8pm.
My Sweet Patootie combine twining vocal harmonies, monstrous fingerstyle guitar, sizzling fiddle, percussion and abundant charisma together in one perfect package. Complete with tall tales and corny jokes, they create a modern-day Music Hall show. Their upbeat performances will take you on a carnival ride with carefully placed heart-breaking ballads between good-time finger-snapping tunes.
Formed as a duo in 2007, My Sweet Patootie features Terry Young and Sandra Swannell, both Canadian Folk Music Award winners with a classical music background and a mutual love of folk, swing, americana and country blues. They became a trio in 2012 with the exciting addition of percussionist-vocalist Bradford Nowak and released their third album, Good Day, earlier this year.
“My Sweet Patootie’s playing is superb and the vocal harmonies exquisite” – Maveric Magazine
