The Met welcomes the return of sonic phenomenon The Magnets on Wednesday 22 May at 8pm.
The Magnets are a cappella stars, making great music simply with their mouths. Featuring the drums of vocal percussionist/beatboxer Andy Frost and the richly textured bass of Fraser Collins, their unique sound rivals any band with guitars and keyboards. Combining glorious harmonies, virtuosi beatboxing and a very British charm, they have become a must see act on the international music scene, with a hard-won reputation as festival favourites from Edinburgh to Adelaide.
“…a sonic phenomenon you have to see and hear to believe” – The Guardian
This year The Magnets release their latest studio album celebrating the best of British songwriters from the band members’ own lifetimes. The album features songs by Richard Hawley, Peter Gabriel, Adele and Led Zeppelin among others, as well as a taste of the band’s own award-winning original material.
Tickets for the performance are £18. For more information or to book please phone Ticket Office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz
