Blues Troubadours Larry Garner and Norman Beaker come to The Met

The Met welcomes top blues artist Larry Garner with the Norman Beaker Band on Saturday 1 June at 8pm.

.

Multi-award winning Larry Garner is a Louisiana bluesman who has performed all over the world. He was inducted into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame in 2002 and has been honored as Bluesman of the Year twice and Blues Songwriter of the Year three times. His songs are delivered with a sense of irony with meaningful yet amusing lyrics.

“In a decade when veterans and youngbloods alike rely too heavily on overdone standards and cover material, Garner churns out clever, challenging, uncompromising and thoroughly contemporary songs.” – Living Blues

Like Larry, Norman Beaker’s songs are full of social comment and modern day situations. The guitarist / singer / songwriter leads a five-piece reckoned to be one of Britain’s best and most original Blues bands, whose live performances involve a lot of emotion, excitement and humour.

Tickets for the performance are £12 or £10 for concessions. For further information book please go online at www.themet.biz or phone ticket office on 0161 761 2216.
