Half Term is packed with treats at The Met

This half-term The Met welcomes three fantastic family shows to delight children aged 3 and up; Dotty the Dragon, Knick Knack and Doo Dad: Reasons to be Cheerful and Robin Hood and his Very Merry Men.

On Saturday 25 May at 1pm and 3pm, Dotty the Dragon is an enchanting fairytale adventure with a very happy ending.

Dotty is a baby Fire Dragon, she lives at the top of a mountain with her grumpy dad, Mr Dragon. In the village below everyone fears for their lives, for dragon’s eat children! Don’t they? But Dotty would never eat children! One day she decides to pay the villagers a surprise visit. Suitable for ages 3-7, Dotty the Dragon is brought to life by Blunderbus Theatre Company with live music, fabulous puppets and high-energy storytelling.

On Thursday 30 May at 2pm Lyngo Theatre Company present Knick Knack and Doo Dad: Reasons to be Cheerful.

What’s big, smelly and floats on the water? A big smelly rubbish island! That’s where we find Knick sorting through crud and clicker, and Doo Dad, who’s there to help. Featuring Patrick Lynch from Cbeebies, this interactive show invites children to join in with the rubbish storm, the crying chorus and making bubbly ha-ha food.

On Friday 31 May at 11am and 1.30pm we join legendary outlaw Robin Hood and his band of very Merry Men.

In this laugh-a-minute adventure the tights-wearing bandit cannot be stopped as he robs from the rich and gives to the poor, with Maid Marion and Friar Tuck at his side. Presented by Uncontained Arts this exhilarating show features colourful forest characters, lots of joining in, live music and puppetry. Suitable for ages 4+
