Following a successful run at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Mike Moran Productions bring Spain’s best loved stories to The Met in Platero: Travels with a Donkey on Wednesday 15 May at 8pm.
Spend a year in the sunshine of southern Spain with a poet and his constant companion, a little silver donkey called Platero. Based on the well-known Spanish book Platero y Yo (Platero and I) by Nobel Prize winning writer Juan Ramon Jimenez, Platero: Travels with a Donkey presents a selection of short stories about Moguer, a small whitewashed town near Seville at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Featuring a beautiful puppet donkey and starring Scottish storyteller Mike Moran as The Poet, the production is directed by internationally renowned Georgian director Levan Tsuladze with a classical guitar score by Craig Ogden.
