Exciting new duo Troubadour come to Ramsbottom

Ramsbottom Folk Club welcomes acoustic duo Troubadour for an evening of sessions, sing-a-longs and guests at The Grant Arms on Wednesday 15 May at 8pm.

Troubadour began busking through Europe in 2007, and have since shared stages with the likes of Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Levellers, Edwina Hayes and Steve Tilston, and have been equally well received at festivals including Fylde Folk Festival and Beautiful Days, alongside such acts as Newton Faulkner, Three Daft Monkeys, Bellowhead, Seth Lakeman, Billy Bragg and the Charlatans. Their debut studio album, Carnival Town (2010) was featured in BBC drama, Waterloo Road.

The combination of Shanagher’s vocals and multi-instrumentalist, Andrew Bache’s tasteful banjo and harmonica blended together perfectly. An excellent mix of folk and blues.” Acoustic Magazine

The duo are currently recording their new album, which is due for release later this year.

Ramsbottom Folk Club is run by The Met in Bury. Tickets are £8 each. For further information or to book in advance please phone The Met’s ticket office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
