Bob Fox sings of his time on stage in Warhorse.

Renowned folk singer Bob Fox makes a welcome return to The Met with his new show, Just an Old War Horse, on Thursday 2 May at 8pm.

During a 30-plus year career, Bob Fox has played in just about every folk club in the UK and been nominated for Folk Singer of the Year twice at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. After taking over eighteen months out to play Songman in the National Theatre’s popular stage production of Michael Morpugo’s Warhorse, Bob is returning to his musical roots.

Just An Old Warhorse will feature a selection of powerful and moving songs and music from Warhorse as well as traditional material from Bob’s native north-east and beyond. With his warm, rich voice, virtuoso finger-style guitar and witty banter, Bob has long been a favorite of the live circuit. As a bonus, the show will see his debut as a melodeon player.

Tickets are £12, £10 for concessions. For more information or to book tickets go online at www.themet.biz or phone Ticket Office on 0161 761 2216.
