Progressive theatre company Proud and Loud Arts present insightful new show about living with disabilities, Beyond the Fourth Wall, at The Met on Tuesday 14 May 2pm & 7pm.
The perfect world – it’s not for everybody. It’s paradise in this surreal Cul-De-Sac. Every want and need is catered for without prejudice or unnecessary medical intervention. So why would Taylor, Katie and Peter ever want to leave? Because they know there is a world beyond the fourth wall and though it is dangerous and flawed, they need to see and experience it for themselves.
Based in Manchester, Proud and Loud Arts is a disability led theatre company creating performances using their own ideas and experiences. Inspired by personal experiences of care offered by professionals, friends, families and strangers, Beyond the Fourth Wall was written in collaboration with award-winning playwright Cathy Crabb.
“Witty, well performed and quite touching in places, Proud and Loud have produced a strong show that is evocative and entertaining.” – What’s On Stage
Tickets to see the show are £6 each. For further information or to book please phone the ticket office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
