Aynsley Lister returns to The Met with his band on Saturday 11 May at 8pm.
Influenced from an early age by the 60’s RnB era, Aynsley’s brand of blues-rock delivers contemporary song writing fuelled with the kind of heart and soul that’s missing from so much modern music.
“His guitar playing is a fire hazard” – Mojo
With over 86,000 albums sold and years of high-profile touring, Aynsley’s resume secures his position as a leading light in the resurgence of British blues infused music. In 2007, he was the only British artist to be named in Classic Rock magazine’s ‘Top 10 Contemporary Blues Artists’, alongside John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa.
The Aynsley Lister Band will be supported by Brothers Groove. Brothers Groove formed two years ago in Birmingham and have been creating a stir on the Blues scene, supporting such acts as Cassie Taylor and Oli Brown. With soulful vocals, contrasting guitar styles and counter rhythms, laid on top of an edgy rhythm section, Brothers Groove’s songs take a little sidestep from the norm.
Tickets to see the performance are £12. For further information or to book phone ticket office on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz.
