The Met welcomes singer songwriter Boo Hewerdine on Thursday December 8 at 8pm.
Singer songwriter Boo Hewerdine is rapidly become The Met’s most frequent visitor. Having already played at the venue twice this season – supporting Heidi Talbot, and as part of the All Along the Wall tour – he returns with a solo show of his own unique material.
Having written successfully for artists as diverse as Natalie Imbruglia and McAlmont, it’s virtually a given that the endlessly touring Boo Hewerdine will deliver songs rich in melody with lyrics whose meanings are transparent as they are universal.
Known as lead singer of indie legends the Bible, Boo has become one of the country’s most respected singer/songwriters. He is also known for his collaborations and solo career having released 6 albums.
As a writer his songs have been recorded by, among others, Eddi Reader, Heidi Talbot, KD Lang, Kris Drever, Chris Difford, Jerry Douglas and David McAlmont. He has scored several films (Fever Pitch, Twentyfourseven etc), produced many albums, been nominated for an Ivor Novello award and has appeared on BBC4’s Songwriter Circle.
Support for this event comes from Jennifer Crook.
Tickets are £12. To book please call the ticket office on 0161 7612216 or go on line at www.themet.biz
