Bah Humbug! Scrooge: A Christmas Carol Arrives at The Met This December

Proper Job Theatre Company and The Met are proud to present Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, sponsored by Mill Gate Shopping Centre, from Monday 12 to Saturday 24 December.

\”Every idiot who goes about with Merry Christmas on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart.\” Dickens\’ Scrooge

Scrooge doesn’t like Christmas. He thinks it’s a waste of time and doesn’t mind saying do. Not only that, he’s stingy, greedy, cold hearted and downright unpleasant!

But on Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts – the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas future. Can they help him see the error of his ways and finally learn to be caring and generous?

Proper Job brings Charles Dickens\’ tale to the stage using original songs, live music and special effects. The show is performed by a cast of professional actors, supported by talented young performers from Bury.

Established in 1985, Proper Job Theatre Company has a history of profound engagement creating exciting projects using theatre to inspire change.

The Met is grateful to Bury’s Mill Gate Shopping Centre for their generous sponsorship of Scrooge.

Tickets cost £8 for children and concessions, and £10 for adults. For a full list of times please go to www.themet.biz/scrooge or give us a call on 0161 761 2216
