Albion Band\’s Ken Nichol Performs with Duo Baron Brady at The Met

The Met welcomes Ken Nichol with duo Baron Brady on Saturday 8 October at 8pm in a double-billed evening featuring the best in acoustic music with two acts separately and in combination.

No holds barred master guitarist and singer-songwriter Ken Nicol is famed for his solo work and his work with Ashley Hutchins, The Albion Band and Steeleye Span amongst others. His music covers the spectrum from blues to rock, and effortlessly takes in folk, jazz, ragtime, ballads and more along the way. An evocative singer his self-written songs are thought provoking and expertly crafted

Acclaimed duo Barron Brady – Ros Brady and Si Barron, are award winning contemporary songwriters and interpreters of traditional English folk song. Drawn to strongly narrative songs with subjects ranging from Devon legend to contemporary rural reportage, they invite the listener to accompany them through strange landscapes whose denizens include coffee drinking, Mermaids, flying highwaymen and disappearing Hedgerows.
