Urban Roots Music From Wailin\’ Jenny Annabelle Chvostek

The Met welcomes Annabelle Chvostek on Friday 2 September at 8pm.

Annabelle Chvostek is a contemporary urban roots artist, well known for her time with the Canadian band Wailin\’ Jennys and for her time as a solo artist performing with others on the Canadian folk scene including the likes of Po Girl and Rae Spoon.

Chvostek has released six solo albums, all to great acclaim. Her last album Resilience was nominated for Contemporary Album of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Her new album Live From Folk Alley, is a solo performance recorded at BluSeed Studio, Saranac Lake.

In addition to pursuing her solo music career, Annabelle continues to work in a variety of other projects including a new media performance piece The Automated Prayer Machine and composing music for dance companies.
