The Met welcomes comedian Arthur Smith with his brand new show, Exposed on Wednesday 29 June at 8pm.
Arthur Smith is simply one of our funniest and most original comic performers. He is guaranteed to bring you a night of hilarity, mirth and scandal…with a touch of rudeness thrown in for good measure. His new show will expose some truths about showbiz, himself and his views on comedy now.
A BBC regular, he is well known for his appearances on TV\’s Grumpy Old Men, Q.I., The One Show and Radio 4\’s Loose Ends. As a writer and broadcaster, Arthur Smith helped shake up the world of light entertainment in the eighties and nineties with his alternative approach to comedy, based on observation tinged with a strong flavour of the absurd.
Controversial, outspoken and on occasions irreverent, Arthur Smith is an expert at delivering the unexpected. His latest tour will deliver all this and then some, with every show being slightly different to the last!
\”Original and creative…he ping pongs seemingly randomly from a string of doctor jokes through deadpan one-liners to Shakespearean quotes and poetic interludes that makes him a one man variety act.\” Liverpool Echo
Tickets for this hilarious show are £12, £10 concessions. For more information and to book tickets, phone The Met\’s on 0161 761 2216 or go online at www.themet.biz
