Legendary Blues Band to Play The Met

The Met welcomes back The Blues Band on Wednesday 8 June at 8pm.

The Blues Band features Paul Jones (ex Manfred Mann and host of the Paul Jones Show on BBC Radio 2), alongside Dave Kelly, Tom McGuinness (The Roosters/ Manfred Mann), Rob Townsend (McGuinness Flint/ Medicine Head) and Gary Fletcher. In the past 30 years the band have played all around the world; wowed festival audiences in many countries and released 17 or so albums (they\’re losing count!).

Whilst not unique in being the only band to have survived together for 30 years they are one of the few outfits to have consistently recorded new material throughout such a long career. Whilst staying true to their blues roots, they have constantly developed their music & redefined their approach on several occasions.
With four singers and songwriters in the band, the quality and variety of performance and material offered by The Blues Band is pretty much unrivalled, either in the blues world or elsewhere. The band\’s passion and reverence for the music, their presentation and showmanship all combine to deliver the definitive good night out.

\”Five internationally renowned blues musicians on stage together…It doesn\’t get much better than that, does it?\” Blues Matters

Tickets for the show are £20 with few tickets remaining. For more information please call The Met on 0161 761 2216 or go on line www.themet.biz
