The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury
Hit Me! The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury follows the life of the singer who sang with the Blockheads, in the process showing his cheeky public persona as well as the private one in which he battled demons and his perceived flaws.
Focusing on three events, from the peak of his success, through to being on the cusp of a huge comeback, and finally to the moments just after his death. Offering an insightful, hilarious and moving look at the life of one of the music industry's best loved characters, features all the hits including Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and Reasons To Be Cheerful.
Recommended for ages 16+. Contains very strong language.

Ralph McTell
One of the great storytellers Ralph McTell is known for his virtuoso guitar style. He is primarily a prolific and gifted songwriter with a style that invites you into a unique world, he weaves a narrative that is both significant and poignant.
Ralph made his debut in 1968 with the album Eight Frames a Second and in 1974 the release of Streets of London earned him an Ivor Novello Award. In 2002 he was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
Aly Bain, Ale Möller and Bruce Molsky
Aly Bain is Scotland's supreme traditional style fiddler. His playing is unique - driving, impassioned and pure - with a vibrant, unmistakable tone that has earned him a following of ardent fans throughout the world. His most recent collaboration with Swedish multi-instrumentalist Ale Möller, created the album Fully Rigged a celebration of shared Nordic heritage. Completing the line-up is Bruce Molsky, a leading old time fiddle player and singer from the USA who has also explored traditional music from an astonishingly broad range of cultures over the past two decades.

The band's approach is faithful, though not reverential, and relaxed but as tight as their namesakes, a testament to hours of rehearsal and a great deal of talent. They return to the Met following a sell out show last year.
The Martin Simpson Trio
Martin Simpson returns to Bury to play in the beautiful surroundings of the Parish Church.
Recognised as one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world, Martin has won BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Musician of the Year and Album of the Year, twice and also for Best Original Track in 2008.
Andy Cutting on melodeon received BBC Radio 2 Folk Award's Musician of the Year in 2008.
Andy Seward plays double bass with Kate Rusby's Band and with John Tams amongst many others.
Together this is an unstoppable combination of talent, which has taken Martin's music to a new level and is a thrilling band to see and enjoy.

Denis Jones
A Mr Kite Benefit
Denis Jones is a self-taught guitarist and songwriter based in Manchester. Having begun his musical life as a singer songwriter in the classic UK mould of the likes of John Martyn, he has over the last three years developed a show-stopping live performance based around the core of his exceptional and unique guitar-playing style and rich, soulful voice. Using a loop station and all manner of samplers and effects, Denis creates vast, complex orchestrations of beat-box rhythms, multi-layered vocals and other-worldly sounds which veer from subtle heart-wrenching folk and blues to heavy bass-driven electronica.
Bella Hardy
Nominated three times in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Bella Hardy has played in a number of groups (Ola, the Pack) and been critically acclaimed for her music as a solo artist. Her new album In The Shadow of Mountains was released this year.
Sara Grey
Sara Grey and Kieron Means are mother and son and, along with Ben Paley, share a love for the traditional music of North America. Sara is a fine singer, banjo player, song collector and story-teller and Kieron is also a fine singer as well as a guitar player and song writer.
Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri
A unique acoustic guitar based show, Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri bring together their original music with some of Kiki's known songs such as Don't Go Breaking My Heart and I've Got The Music In Me.
