T'pau burst onto the music scene in 1987 with the hit Heart & Soul reaching No.4 in both the UK and US charts. Taken from the quadruple-platinum selling debut album Bridge Of Spies, it's innovative use of a rap verse by a white female vocalist introduced the world to the distinctive lead vocals of Carol Decker and the song writing talents of Carol and Ronnie Rogers. With worldwide critical and audience acclaim, second single China In Your Hand has appeared on more than 150 compilations, becoming one of the most-played songs of the 1980s.
The original line up of T'pau split in 1991 after the final hit Whenever You Need Me. In 1997 Carol Decker decided to rebuild T'Pau and get back on the road after assembling a massive amount of new material. She continues to perform regularly across the UK and celebrated 25 years in the business in 2013, with a new album planned for release this year.
Please note that this event has been rescheduled from October 2014 due to family illness. The following statement has been issued by Carol Decker's management:
Due to an immediate family illness, the forthcoming T'pau tour has been postponed. Dates have been re-arranged for early 2015 and all original tickets remain valid. Carol and the band wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused but are looking forward to seeing you all next year and performing songs from their new album and classic hits.
