Nominated for Best Duo at the 2016 BBC Folk Awards, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman are two of the British folk scenes most accomplished performers. They have graced stages the world over in a number of guises, however, the intimacy and strength of passion shown as a duo, combined with an eclectic repertoire ensures a rare treat for any listener.
After taking a break from performing the duo returned to prominence in 2012 with the release of their critically acclaimed album 'Hidden People'. Awards and much praise followed and the couple re-established themselves as one of the top British folk duos.
With a story that includes music making with the likes of Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Levellers, Kate Rusby and Show of Hands, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman have consolidated themselves as pillars of modern British folk.

Kitty Macfarlane is a songwriter and folk singer from Somerset recently shortlisted for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2015. Her lyrics combine honest snippets of everyday humanity with the bigger questions that have connected minds and voices for centuries, driven by her own fingerstyle guitar accompaniment.
