HOLY MOLY AND THE CRACKERS

With Flats and Sharps; and Holly Macve

Holy Moly & The Crackers are a seven-piece 'gypsy folk'n'roll' band who are influenced by an eclectic range of styles and artists - the honest grit and gravel of Woody Guthrie, the gypsy bone-cage burlesque of Gogol Bordello: punk, ska, reggae, folk, blues, honky-tonk, Balkan. As such they play a unique mash-up of folk/blues, waltz tempos and hoe-downs and french zazou in outlandish carnival style. It is loud, funky and fun.

Flats and Sharps blur the lines between bluegrass, folk, country & pop, gaining recognition for performing their own highly original songs as well as their renditions of bluegrass classics.

'...effortlessly entertaining...sublime five part harmonies...the pace of their performance is breathtaking'Mark Ellen - R2 Magazine

An exciting new talent, Holly Macve can silence a room with her voice. She is currently writing and recording new material before heading out onto the road.

Please note: The Met will be undergoing refurbishment between March and November 2016. Events during this period will take place at other local venues.

This event will take place at The Fusilier Museum, Bury.

Part of Homegrown, The Met's festival of English folk music.
